A pursuit of lifelong excellence

Eta Delta of Chi Psi, affectionately known among brothers as "The Lodge," has established itself as one of the premier fraternities at the University of Oregon. For generations, members have treasured their experiences at 1018 Hilyard Street as some of the most meaningful and memorable moments of their lives. Today, we continue to elevate and enrich our active membership, preserving cherished traditions while fostering personal growth, leadership, and lifelong camaraderie.

About us

At Chi Psi, academic excellence is foundational to our identity. Our brotherhood actively pursues superior academic achievements, fully embracing educational opportunities both in and beyond the classroom. The Lodge proudly offers a recently renovated, dedicated study library—an essential resource significantly enhanced to support our academic mission.

Prospective members must demonstrate their commitment to academic excellence by achieving at least a 3.0 GPA in the quarter leading up to initiation. This expectation continues into active membership, where brothers falling short of this standard receive personalized peer support and structured academic guidance. Members on our Academic Plan participate in structured weekly study sessions, facilitated by fellow brothers who ensure a productive atmosphere. During peak academic periods, such as midterms and finals, participation increases to support members in meeting their goals.

Chi Psi’s pursuit of excellence is reinforced by substantial support from both our National and local foundations. Nationally, Chi Psi awards 38 prestigious scholarships totaling over $168,000 annually, and locally, our Oregon-based 501(c)(3) foundation consistently promotes academic achievement and leadership development, notably funding our recent library renovations.

Life at The Lodge extends beyond academics. Brothers actively engage in campus leadership roles, including IFC Executive Boards, student government, academic and pre-professional societies, and club athletics. Within the Lodge, events such as intramural sports competitions and social gatherings with sororities provide essential balance and foster lifelong personal skills. Our commitment to philanthropy is robust, with significant contributions made to local community efforts through dedicated fundraising events and volunteer activities. Chi Psi at Oregon proudly continues to set a high standard for both campus involvement and community impact.

Brothers benefit from academic rigor, dynamic social experiences, and meaningful community involvement. Actives are in campus leadership, club/intramural sports, and extracurricular hobbies, all of which foster deep connections and lifelong friendships. Our fraternity enriches the collegiate journey, making each brother’s time at Oregon both impactful and unforgettable.
