To promote a safe residential environment and limit the risks of contracting the virus, Brothers in Chi Psi and their guests will comply with the following policies as specified and approved by Chi Psi chapter and Chi Psi Oregon Alumni Corporation, in addition to other relevant laws and rules set by University of Oregon, Lane County, and the state of Oregon.

  1. Practice Safe Hygiene – Wash hands, avoid crowds, maintain distance, wear your mask, smother coughs and sneezes with your sleeve or tissue, do not share cups or utensils. Any member with or exposed to the virus will Quarantine-Test-Isolate.
  2. Restrict Lodge Access – Access permitted to tenants, meal participants and authorized contractors/guests only. All of whom must pass daily temperature checks.
  3. Limit Density and Interaction – “Teams” of 6 residents in adjacent rooms share certain portions of the bathroom, restrict indoor gatherings, making all sleeping quarters single rooms to decrease contact points between the members.
  4. Require Masks and Distancing in Common Areas – Masks are to be worn at all times in common areas of the Lodge other than your personal room. Live-in members are also expected to wear a mask at all times when outside of the Lodge and in the surrounding Eugene community.
  5. Promote Safe Dining – Separate dining tables set up for each “team”, no kitchen access, posted serving procedures, assigned cleaning and sanitization roles.
  6. Avoid Non-Essential Travel – Report essential travel and verify health upon return
  7. Complete Daily Sanitization Duties – “Teams” clean their tables and bathroom portions daily
  8. Socialize Properly – During brotherhood events and Lodge meetings, when distance is limited, masks are required.
  9. Quarantine Immediately with Symptoms – Report symptoms and get tested ASAP
  10. Isolate if Test Positive – on the third deck which has been set aside for quarantine use only
