Alumni

Chi Psi is a life-long membership and we pride ourselves on our large alumni base, many of whom had made great achievements after their life of living in the Lodge. Furthermore, Alpha  Eta Delta has three volunteer boards that help support the overall operations of the Lodge. Those boards are as followed:

Alumni Advisory Board

The mission for the Alumni Advisory Board is to establish a viable Alpha of Chi Psi at the University of Oregon academically, financially, and socially. Our vision is to guide our Alpha to encourage the development of outstanding qualities in its members that will add value to the Alpha, Chi Psi National Office, the University of Oregon, and the community. In other words, the Alumni Advisory Board Members are each assigned an active who holds a position in the Lodge and the goal is to help guide their Brother on how to perform their role to the best of their abilities.

The Corporation (Chi Psi Association of Alpha Eta Delta)

The purpose of the Chi Psi Association of Alpha Eta Delta is to provide an appealing, clean, safe, and functional space for studying, eating, gathering for events, and well-organized sleeping arrangements in alignment with Chi Psi Values.

The “Corporation” (Chi Psi Association of Alpha Eta Delta) is responsible for collecting rent each month, managing the provision of meals prepared by a private chef, paying expenses associated with the facility’s operations (e.g., fire insurance, taxes, utilities, mechanical equipment repair/replacement), and contracting with cleaning services to keep the facility presentable and safe to anyone visiting or residing in the Lodge.

Educational Foundation for Alpha Eta Delta of Chi Psi

The Alpha Eta Delta Educational Foundation was formed on May 20th, 1971, in the State of Oregon as a Nonprofit Corporation.  At that time, the corporation was formed solely for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. This designation allows tax-deductible donations to be received to fund and support educational-related activities related to the Chi Psi chapter at the University of Oregon. It was the first such 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation designation obtained by a by local college fraternity chapter alumni group in the United States.

The foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for educationally focused programs benefiting the members of the Chi Psi chapter at the University of Oregon. In alignment with the purpose of the Chi Psi (national) Education Trust, the Foundation strives to support and encourage an environment that enhances leadership skills, promotes personal development, and rewards scholarship while fostering positive interpersonal relationships within the Oregon chapter of Chi Psi Fraternity.

Since its formation almost fifty years ago, the Foundation has supported the Oregon chapter and its members with tens of thousands of dollars in annual academic performance awards and a major renovation to the Lodge Library. Anyone interested in making a tax-deductible donation for educational purposes to the Alpha Eta Delta Educational Foundation can do so by contacting Jesse Jimmerson.
